Spatial interpolation is the process of using points with known values to estimate the values at other unknown points. As we have punctual data we use the interpolation IDW among several methods.
Inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation of a set of sample points. The weight is a function of inverse distance. The surface being interpolated should be of a locally dependent variable.
This method assumes that the variable being mapped decreases in influence with distance from its sampled location.
